Anthropic has raised $65 billion in a Series H funding round, taking its post-money valuation to $965 billion. The company confirmed both figures directly, alongside an investor list that spans venture firms, sovereign funds, and three of the world's biggest memory and logic chipmakers.
Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital led the round. Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, and XN co-led it. A long roster of additional backers joined too, including Blackstone, Brookfield, Fidelity, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, T. Rowe Price, and Temasek. Roughly $15 billion of the total had already been committed by hyperscale cloud providers before this close, including $5 billion from Amazon.
What stands out in the investor list is the hardware. Anthropic named Micron, Samsung, and SK hynix as strategic infrastructure partners, tying the round directly to the companies supplying the memory, storage, and logic chips its data centers depend on. That mix of chip suppliers alongside financial investors is unusual for a funding round of this size, and it points to how closely compute supply and capital have become linked for a company spending heavily on both.
The company says it has significantly expanded its compute capacity in recent weeks. New agreements include up to five gigawatts of capacity with Amazon, five gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity with Google and Broadcom, and GPU access through SpaceX's Colossus 1 and Colossus 2 clusters. Claude is now available on all three major cloud platforms, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, with AWS remaining Anthropic's primary training partner.
Run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion earlier this month, the company said, a marker of the growth investors are pricing into the new valuation. That pace follows a Series G round in February, meaning the jump from roughly $47 billion in revenue momentum to a $965 billion valuation has come within a single funding cycle.
"Claude is increasingly indispensable to our growing global community of customers, and we work tirelessly to make tools like Claude Code and Cowork more helpful, more powerful, and more adaptable to their needs," said Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer of Anthropic. "This funding will help us serve the historic demand we are experiencing, stay at the research frontier, and bring Claude to more of the places where work happens."
One investor framed the round around deployment rather than raw model capability. "Startups and Global 5000 companies alike are deploying Claude to handle complex workflows, and in doing so, Claude is learning how businesses actually operate: the context, the processes, the judgment," said Alfred Lin, Partner at Sequoia Capital. "Anthropic is building the bridge between where enterprise AI stands today and where it's headed."
Neither Anthropic nor its investors disclosed how the $65 billion splits between compute purchases, research spending, and cash reserves. What the round does confirm is direction rather than arithmetic: more chip supply locked in, more cloud capacity under contract, and a valuation that assumes the current growth curve holds through whatever comes next.
